Dr. Kate Behrends
Dr. Kate Behrends is a Chiropractic Physician serving the Sidney, Nebraska and all of its surrounding towns. She grew up in Eastern Nebraska on an acreage just south of Lincoln. Dr. Kate attended Norris High School and was active in volleyball, basketball, and track. She discovered the healing power of Chiropractic her junior year while playing volleyball. Lower back spasms prevented her from being able to practice. Her parents took her to see a Chiropractor and after the second treatment she was able to play without the use of pills or injections. She continued to be adjusted for two more weeks and never experienced low back spasms again.
After high school Dr. Kate attended Doane College in Crete, Nebraska on a track scholarship. She majored in Biology and History and decided to work toward getting into Chiropractic school. She competed in the high jump all four years of college while continuing to receive Chiropractic care to compete at the highest level possible. She currently holds the Doane College indoor high jump record along with the outdoor conference record.
Dr. Kate attended Chiropractic College at Logan College of Chiropractic located outside of St. Louis, Missouri. While at Logan she still remained active in the school sports. She played sand volleyball and basketball for Logan and earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic in April of 2010. She is also a member of the American Chiopractic Association (ACA) and the Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association (NCPA). In the fall of 2012 she became certified in Acupuncture and earned her Fellowship through the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
In August, 2014 Dr. Kate married her husband, Jay Behrends, and they now make their home in Lodgepole, Nebraska.
